A VOLUNTEER-BASED NATIONAL FOOD BANK
Midwest Food Bank volunteers are more than our hands and feet; they are fundamental to the success of our organization. We are structured to provide service opportunities and operate through the work of volunteers. They collect, sort, pack, and distribute food and disaster relief donations and remind us every day that our mission could not be achieved without them.
In 2022, more than 30,000 volunteers put in over 350,000 hours of service, the equivalent of over 175 full-time employees. The service of these dedicated volunteers allows Midwest Food Bank to operate efficiently while keeping administrative costs low. They gain the unique perspective that worldwide hunger is prevalent, and their efforts can make a difference.

Women's Ministries Retreat 2024 - “Even If”
“If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand. But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up. “- Daniel 3:17-18
Come worship, fellowship, and praise the Lord at our annual WM Retreat! We promise you will be encouraged, be uplifted, laugh, and oh for sure, have fun!
It’s easy to claim Jesus on the mountaintops, but what about when you’re in the midst of a storm, a testing period, or an enormous loss? We will explore what happens when the answer to your prayer isn't always yes. Sometimes it's wait, and sometimes it’s a flat no. But even if Jesus doesn't answer your prayer exactly how you want, will you purpose in your heart to still call Jesus your Lord and Savior? Come be encouraged that EVEN IF the answer is no and your help is delayed, you will still be faithful to the One who holds you safely in His hands!

In this experience of communion Christ is present to meet and strengthen His people. As we partake, we joyfully proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes again. Preparation for the Supper includes self-examination, repentance, and confession. The Master ordained the service of foot-washing to signify renewed cleansing, to express a willingness to serve one another in Christlike humility, and to unite our hearts in love.
