TRIBUTE TO JACK on APRIL 24
Our friend Jack Whicker is moving to Florida within a few weeks. We will have a tribute for him on April 24, during the church service to thank him for his many years of friendship and ministry with PTC. If you would like to bring a card to church for him, please do so. Jack has been a blessing to the PTC church family and he will be missed!
STUDENT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE REQUEST
There is a student from our PTC church family who is desiring to go to GCA in the fall for his high school experience. Adventist education can be financially costly, but as many of you can testify, it is well worth the extra expense, so if you can contribute monetarily to this worthy cause, please contact Krista or Joanne.
AAA DISASTER RESPONSE TRAINING
On April 23-25, AAA will offer training for FEMA certification for disaster response. This 20-hour course trains a person for disaster preparedness, planning, survival skills, and mutual aid during the initial period of coping with the aftermath of a disaster or community crisis. After being trained you will be recognized by the disaster response community as a certified FEMA CERT volunteer that in many cases will allow you access into a disaster site to provide aid when you are dressed in the appropriate CERT Volunteer attire and can show your certificate if requested. For more complete information and a schedule of the training, go to our 2Serve.life website and look under future training, and swipe to the Atlanta Adventist Academy Logo. Swipe through the next two pages that will give you the information you need. Those wanting to take the training should email their name and what church they attend to Jim Ingersoll at [email protected]. This training costs $35. Numbers will be limited, so register soon. The schedule is:
Friday Training- 9 am – 5 pm
Sat. Vespers – 5:30 pm Spiritual Training – 6:30 pm
